Karen Hein worked in the US Senate Finance Committee 1993-95, then stayed in Washington as Executive Officer of The IOM (now NAM) before serving as President of The WT Grant Foundation. After a decade of global heath volunteer work she served on the inaugural Vermont’s Green Mountain Care Board regulating all of Vermont’s health /health care system. She now is Shepherdess of her herd of Cashmere goats whose hair she combs, spins and makes garments as well as other fiber arts—-check it out on www.karenhein.com!!
