Taylor Windmiller

At time of Fellowship

Taylor Windmiller serves as the Senior Program Assistant for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Health Policy Fellows Program at the National Academy of Medicine (NAM). In this role, she supports the RWJF Health Policy Program through administrative support, communications outreach, and direct support of the Fellows in the program. Prior to her role with NAM, she served as the Senior Program Assistant for the Forum on Microbial Threats with the National Academy of Sciences. In addition to this role, she led the Microsoft Teams rollout in the Health and Medicine Division and was honored with the Rookie of the Year award. Ms. Windmiller also served as an Environmental and Occupational Health Intern for Migrant Clinicians Network, a mission-driven nonprofit organization in Salisbury, Maryland where she worked to fight for health justice, particularly in communities who spoke Spanish and Haitian Creole. During her time with Migrant Clinicians Network, she worked with community organizations, clinicians, and volunteers to coordinate cultural competency training and to publish health-focused infographics that were easy to understand regardless of literacy levels.

Ms. Windmiller holds a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish with a concentration in Immigration Health Policy in the United States and Latin America. During her last semester, she studied Intensive Spanish abroad in Málaga, Spain obtaining certification in Spanish at the B2 level. After class, she traveled around Europe and Africa and even made a trip to México before returning home. During her time at Salisbury University, she worked to obtain the Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential. In her free time, she enjoys reading psychological thriller novels, exercising, and listening to music.
