Since Fellowship:

Kristin Paulson is the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at the Center for Improving Value in Health Care (CIVHC),
the designated administrator of the Colorado All Payer Claims Database (CO APCD). In this role, she oversees data
submission, intake, processing, quality evaluation, reporting, and analytics, as well as compliance and data privacy, research,
program evaluation, multi-state collaboration, and community engagement. She is deeply involved in informing evidence-based
policy and evaluation, and the advance of APCDs nationwide. Her work encompasses a wide range of topics including the
creation of reliable, high-quality research datasets, engaging local providers and communities in evidence-based health
improvement, advancing the health and healthcare of Coloradans, and working with researchers, government, and other
partners to identify new ways to use the data from the CO APCD to inform health care delivery and payment reform.
Ms. Paulson has her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and her Master of Public Health
and Juris Doctorate from the University of Minnesota. She enjoys spending non-work time exploring Colorado and its beautiful
outdoors, working in animal rescue, and planning travel to make up for the home-bound COVID days
