Anh Nguyen, M.D., M.B.A.

Anh Nguyen, MD, MBA, is a physician-executive, biotech leader, and entrepreneur with experience spanning clinical medicine, drug development, health policy, and biotechnology. He currently serves as Chief Medical Officer of Xeris Biopharma and is a co-founder and Board member of Alnair Therapeutics, an oncology biotechnology company developing tumor-targeted drug-delivery technologies.

Dr. Nguyen’s career has included service across the U.S. government and academic medicine. He was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Fellow, serving with the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, and an FDA Commissioner’s Fellow at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. He has also held roles at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the NIH Clinical Center. Earlier in his career, he practiced pediatric and cardiovascular anesthesiology and completed fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Nguyen earned his MD from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and graduate business and health administration degrees from the University of Chicago. He is also a Kauffman Fellow, with a career focused on translating science, medicine, policy, and entrepreneurship into innovative therapies for patients.
