Biography

Martina Bebin M.D., M.P.A. is Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a graduate of Millsaps College (Cum Laude) and the University of Mississippi Medical School. After completing her medical school education she pursued her pediatrics and pediatric neurology postgraduate training at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Over the past 11 years Dr. Bebin has continued her clinical research interest in pediatric epilepsy. Through her professional experiences at the Mayo Clinic, University of Virginia and University of Alabama at Birmingham she has learned to appreciate the value of comprehensive medical care and treatment of children and adults with neurologic conditions. The children and their families that she has cared for over the past 15 years remain her inspiration and motivation to continually improve the quality of medical service available which will have the greatest positive impact on their quality of life. Because of the variety of important health care issues facing patients and health care providers in this country Dr. Bebin recently completed a Masters Degree in Public Administration at Harvard University Kennedy School of Government.
